Patrice Jones IBCLC

PATRICE JONES, PAC, IBCLC

I not only have 15 years of helping moms as an IBCLC but also 30+ years of experience as a physician assistant working with babies and families. I am also the mother of three breastfed children and understand the pressures of working and being a mom. I get the total exhaustion you feel but the commitment to do everything you can to give them the best.

Do you feel bombarded by confusing advice and don’t know which way to turn?

Luckily - this is my specialty. You and your family are unique – there is no other just like you! Cookie cutter approaches are not what we do here! We listen to you! I take all my experience gathered over the past 30 years and combine the information acquired during our consultation and we come up with a plan to meet your goals - whatever they are. All the information I provide is up to date and based on the latest research regarding mothers and babies. We will help you find a way together to realize what is important right now, and make your way through the confusion and find a new empowered you who is happy knowing she found success and confidence in her most important role of her life!

My experience as a Physician Assistant, Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant and mother of three breastfed children has me uniquely qualified to help you. While I have worked in many different roles, being invited into your family to help you as you transition to your new role as proud parent is my very favorite!

My belief is that every family could benefit from a one on one lactation visit in the first few days after delivery to gather information that helps you to gain confidence and connect with your baby.

I really love watching new parents gain confidence during this very vulnerable time. My training as a physician assistant working with babies for the last 35 years in hospitals, clinics & NICU (neonatal intensive care nursery) has helped me hone my skills. I understand that helping you to figure out why the baby is so fussy, or perhaps wanting to feed all the time, allows you to be more confident and realize you really do have what it takes to be an amazing parent.

Starting Lactation Services of Southington about 15 years ago has allowed me to meet so many amazing families, and my goal is to help you feel empowered and confident and enjoy the amazing experience of breastfeeding and parenting.
